Counts the way the law counts. Each country's rule is applied as published and cited inside the app, with part days and passages handled the way that country treats them. A country you only fly over is never counted.
Honest about gaps. When the record is uncertain, the app says so and asks you, rather than guessing.
Private by construction. Your location stays on your phone. The optional backup is encrypted before it reaches your own iCloud, with a key only you hold.
